Shannon Hildebrandt grew up in rural Virginia and North Carolina and has always been surrounded by woods. She is a lifelong hiker, backpacker, snowboarder and horseback rider. Her love of the outdoors has fostered in her an interest in nature, conservation and man's responsibilities to the natural world.
