Alisa K. Michaels is an American author and teacher, best known for her highly acclaimed mythological YA Fantasy novels: The Siren Series, in which she expertly weaves ancient Greek Siren lore into modern society. Her ongoing tale-told through the eyes of 16-year-old Siren-in-training, Selena-follows her search to find a balance between her supernatural lineage and her place in the mortal world. She brings to her authorship her experiences growing up on a beautiful, tropical island paradise in the U.S. Virgin Islands before coming to the mainland in her youth. She draws from those experiences to create her fantastical vision. Alisa K. Michaels lives with her husband in the South-Eastern United States. She is a Rollins College Alumna having degrees both in English and Secondary Education. Most importantly, Michaels is a proud mother of three grown daughters, and a closet monster named Bucky.
