Synopsis:
Theo Silva, professional rodeo bull rider, handsome, athletic, with a charming smile, is a notorious ladies' man who melts hearts.
Winter Hamilton, on the other hand, is faced with a failed marriage and sees only one way out: she moves to a small town where her sister lives, with whom she unfortunately has a difficult relationship. When she meets Theo for the first time, the sparks fly, but Winter can't deny how attractive the man is. She agrees to a hot one-night stand, because a man like Theo can't possibly want more from her. The night becomes a secret for both of them, until a small plus could change everything.
My Opinion:
What a lovely book. It reads so smoothly and pleasantly, the verbal battles are lively and genuine, the emotions are convincing. I think the story takes a very nice turn that I hadn't expected, even though I knew very well what was meant by the little plus. Nevertheless, the story turns out differently than I would have expected, which I found very pleasant.
I particularly like the characters. Winter is very strong, even if her strength is based more on the traumas of her childhood. She is tough, usually allows few feelings, love, especially unconditional, heartfelt love, is alien to her. But her decision to separate from her husband and move in with her heaviest sister means that she has to open up, she has to learn to show her sister the love she deserves, she has to learn to let friends into her life and she has to learn how to deal with Theo.
Theo is very different from what you expect him to be. He is lovable, open, has a sense of humour, he is not superficial. He shows his feelings, he shows Winter how important it is to be loved and that not every nice gesture requires something in return. He is simply there and I found that wonderful.
My conclusion:
A very beautiful, romantic story with a lot of emotions that is a great read and you immediately fall in love with the characters. I can only recommend it.
