"Star Trek": Reisen durch Raum und Zeit
"Der Weltraum - unendliche Weiten". So begann vor mehreren Jahrzehnten die "Star-Trek"-Saga, die bis heute kleine und große Fans begeistert. Die "Star-Trek"-Serien und -Filme
Ältere Fans und Puristen schwören: Nichts geht über die Original-"Star-Trek"-Serie "Raumschiff Enterprise". Mit seiner Crew erforscht Captain James T. Kirk das Weltall und gerät dabei von Folge zu Folge in brenzlige, spannende und oft auch emotionale Situationen. Auf die erste "Star-Trek"-Serie, die in den 1960er Jahren lief, folgten - hauptsächlich in den 80er Jahren - sechs Kinofilme, die zeitlich ebenfalls im 23. Jahrhundert angesiedelt sind. Eine Zeit lang wurde es dann still um "Star Trek". Möglich, dass Captain Kirk und Mister Spock heute nicht mehr so in der Erinnerung präsent wären, hätte es nicht in den späten 80ern ein Comeback gegeben.
Im Jahr 1987 wurde nämlich die Serie "Raumschiff Enterprise - Das nächste Jahrhundert" ausgestrahlt. Als eine der Hauptfiguren der neuen Enterprise trat der heute weltberühmte Schauspieler der Royal Shakespeare Company, Patrick Stewart, als Captain Jean-Luc Picard auf - und eroberte die Herzen der Fans im Sturm. Die Serie wurde maßlos erfolgreich, sodass ganze sieben Staffeln produziert wurden.
Damit nicht genug: Aufgrund der großen Beliebtheit wurde das "Star-Trek"-Franchise um zwei weitere Ablegerserien erweitert. "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" spielt auf der Raumstation Deep Space Nine mit Commander Benjamin Sisko an der Spitze. Die parallel laufende Serie "Star Trek: Voyager" handelt vom Raumschiff Voyager, das es ans andere Ende der Galaxie verschlagen hat. Seine Besatzung unter der Führung von Captain Kathryn Janeway muss nun den Weg nach Hause finden.
