Could be, that it got better after some more pages... but I just wasn't able to continue this. It only made me overthink why I actually like reading. And I came to the conclusion that it is obviously not because of books like that. I heard so many good recommendations and reviews that I thought this has no chance to be a bad book. Maybe I'm just a bit too young for it. Or it's literally not the genre that suits me. I don't know. The only thing I know is, that I quit the book and will give it back to my friend from who I borrowed it. Then I won't touch it at least for the next 10 years. After that - if it still interests me - maybe I'll dare to try it again. No need to finish. Just as I did this time. Probably I'll like it then. Even better, cause actually it makes me sad that I disliked it so much. I wanted to read this book since I was eight... So is it really just the writing style that bothered me? Or the general topic? How Matt Haig tells this story? I don't know. Let's just forget about it now...
