Erstmals erscheint bei Decca der Soundtrack zur heiß erwarteten Verfilmung des 6. und letzten Teils der Bestsellerserie von J.K. Rowling "Harry Potter und der Halbblutprinz".
Die Anzahl der Filmkopien (1200) spricht für sich: dieser Film wird einer der meistbesuchten Filme dieses Jahres werden!
Der britische Komponist Nicholas Hooper, der schon zum zweiten Mal für die Entwicklung eines Harry Potter Soundtrack ausgewählt wurde, hat die Themen des Originalscores von John Williams auf eine ganz neue Art und Weise wiederbelebt und ihnen einen noch spannungsgeladeneren und magischen Soundrahmen gegeben.
David Yates, der bereits 2007 den Sommer-Blockbuster "Harry Potter und der Orden des Phönix" inszeniert hatte, führte auch bei "Harry Potter und der Halbblutprinz" Regie.
Der zweifache Oscar-Kandidat Bruno Delbonnel ("Mathilde - eine große Liebe", "Die fabelhafte Welt der Amélie") stand hinter der Kamera und drehte damit seinen ersten Harry Potter-Film.
