About the Book
This is a book about square(d) photography.
Since decades, we have been getting used to the rectangular pictures we see in our everyday life in different media, so our eyes are pleased when the see square pictures again, which once had been very common. Furthermore, the use of analogue material allows for a more uncommon impression of the picture.
The pictures are taken in India, Italy, Berlin and Austria.

The Images
From the rectangular pictures, a keen eye with a fine grasp of essential connections comes into view. Besides apparently familiar sceneries, totally new worlds emerge, in which the visually familiar surprises with new composition or new coloring. Helmut Kretzl
