Victoria Aveyard

Victoria Aveyard was born and raised in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, a small town known only for the worst traffic rotary in the continental United States. She moved to Los Angeles to earn a BFA in screenwriting at the University of Southern California. She currently splits her time between the East and West coasts. As an author and screenwriter, she uses her career as an excuse to read too many books and watch too many movies. reread thoughts:Given that I read this about 3 years ago for the first time, I was shocked by how much I still remembered from this. That's unheard of for me, since I have the memory of a goldfish.ANYWAYS.I loved this even more the second time around.Yes it does start slow but it's still such a great set up. And also just a great introduction to the characters, since there are a lot of them.I stand by my original statement. Dom and Sorasa stole the show. I just love them the most. This time around I was also really invested in Erida, which was surprising, cause the first time around I didn't care about her at all. This time around I will continue the series QUICKLY!!!***Testleser penguinrandomhouse earcspoilerfreeWas für ein Start in eine neue Reihe. What an incredible start into a new series. WOW.In the beginning I wasn't sure if I would be that interested, the story sounded intriguing but I had so much trouble getting through the beginning of the book. Everything just moved so damn slow. But as soon as the story really got moving, IT MOVED.The characters stole my heart. Right from the start I was totally ino the whole Dom, Sorasa, and Coranye dynamic. JUST INCREDIBLE. So chapters without them were just down right boring to me and I couldn't be less interested in characters like Andry or Erida. My opinion about Andry changed around the middle of the book when things really started getting interesting with him. And I love the late entry of characters like Sigel, Charlie, and Valtik. What a weird bunch of characters. One shadier than the other. I LOVE THEM ALL.Dom and Sorasa stole the show for me, to be completely honest. The story is really well written and the world building was amazing, I love that it expanded throughout the story, every bit of information felt important and useful and was always nicely webbed into the scene.I'm sooo looking forward to see where things are going to go. It's nerve wrecking, actually. AAAAAH.In the next book, I just hope we get more Ridha, cause I think we didn't get to see enough of her.
