Cyrus Pryce is a young blacksmith apprentice on the tranquil island of Domortis. After spending a week of vacation in his hometown of Casan, Cyrus returns to the bustling city of Purcas, energized to continue his blacksmith training. The Cassandra falls, and Cyrus is taken aboard the Princess. Thrust into the fabled world of piracy, Cyrus must join Kaija McCloud, the intuitive owner of the Princess, and her cousin Jim Robertson, the powerful captain of the Mercenary, on a mission to save their island from a devastating sickness with a harrowing source.
