Jules Verne (1828 - 1905) was a French writer and is considered one of the founders of science fiction literature.
While studying law in Paris, he found his passion for writing. In 1862, he met Pierre-Jules Hetzel, who would publish Verne's scientifically accurate adventure novels in his "Voyages Extraordinaires", which contains his most famous works, including "Five Weeks in a Balloon" (1863), "Journey to the Center of the Earth" (1864) and "Around the World in Eighty Days" (1873).
