Pressestimmen

Brimming over with friendship, sadness, humour and romance, as well as several unexpected plot twists, it's a tremendously satisfying read and (for my money) even better than . . . Me Before You Daily Mail

It is the story of over 600 war brides who were transported from Australia to England in 1946 on a huge naval aircraft carrier, to be reunited with their husbands. Their hopes and fears, bearing in mind they know very little of their husbands and what theyll expect, are rising the longer the journey is going on. Based on true historic facts, Jojo Moyes wrote a wonderful, captivating book, which I can recommend to everyone.
