"Maia D'Apliáese and her five sisters gather together at their childhood home, 'Atlantis'--a fabulous, secluded castle situated on the shores of Lake Geneva--having been told that their beloved father, who adopted them all as babies, has died. Each of them is handed a tantalizing clue to her true heritage--a clue which takes Maia across the world to a crumbling mansion in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Once there, she begins to put together the pieces of her story and its beginnings"--

When you see that the book has 600 pages you might think omg but at the end you had read a very great story witch has an historical background. Lucinda Riley research the story about the saga with the seven sisters and write seven books, each for one sister. In the first book we get to know the seven sisters which lost her adoptive dad. Each sister get a letter with a clue about her birth country. Maia the oldest get the clue that her brith country is brazil so she got to fly there and a really great love story begins also the story in the past . Some things are to detailed but all in all i am intent to read the other books.
